We are a neutral, apolitical, non-religion-based organisation. Our goal is to work with Ugandan medical facilities and personnel that share our ethical values, to bring Swiss-level healthcare services to Uganda.
A dedicated team of professionals offers support to children and youth
with mental illnesses. We also take on complex medical technology
measures such as tracheostomy tube management, home ventilation, peritoneal dialysis,
various infusion therapies and parenteral nutrition, etc. at home, in the children's usual
environment.
All the services we provide are prescribed by a doctor and meet the criteria of effectiveness,
practicality and cost-effectiveness.
Understanding SPITEX!
SPITEX is a German acronym that stands for hospital-external care, i.e. help, care, support and advice given outside of a hospital or home care. Employees provide their services to those in need of care at home and enable them to remain in their familiar and comfortable environment.
The MediSPITEX services cater to cases of physical and psychological illness, age-related difficulties, post-accident care, and pre-and post-partum complications management.
We care for children/adolescents with illnesses from a wide range of pediatric specialties, such as neurology, pulmonology, neonatology, cardiology, oncology, immunology/hematology, dermatology, palliative care, pediatric surgery, etc.
